E-Challan?

To pay traffic challans in India, you have two options: online or offline. Each state has its dedicated transport website. For online payments, you can visit the state transport website or use the official E-challan website - Digital Traffic/Transport Enforcement Solution.

 

To pay your e-challan fine, follow the steps below:

  1. Visit the official website: https://echallan.parivahan.gov.in/index/accused-challan.

  2. Select from the following options: Challan Number, DL Number, or Vehicle Number.

  3. Enter the required details and captcha.

  4. Click on 'Get Detail'.

  5. Choose the 'Pay Now' option.

  6. Select your preferred mode of payment to pay the challan fine.

  7. Once the payment is completed, make a note of the transaction ID for future reference.

 

To pay the e-challan, you must follow the procedure mentioned below:

  1. Visit your state's official transport website.

  2. Look for the section dedicated to paying violation fines.

  3. Choose the appropriate link based on the type of fine (violations, parking charges, spot fines, etc.).

  4. Enter the required details depending on the type of traffic violation.

 

  • If it's a new vehicle, enter the new registration number.

  • If it's an old vehicle, enter the old registration number.

  • If it's a parking violation, enter the parking violation tag number (if known).

  •  

  1. Enter the details along with the current outstanding amount.

  2. Proceed to make the payment using your MasterCard or Visa card.

  3. Make sure to enter the captcha correctly before clicking 'Submit'.

  4. Once submitted, you will be redirected to a secure payment page.

 

Steps to Pay Traffic Citation Offline

To pay your traffic citation, visit any traffic police station in your city. Carry the letter you received for the violation and present it at the nearest station. If you get caught for another violation, ask the Traffic Inspector to check for any previous outstanding fines and settle them together.

It is advisable to promptly settle any pending traffic violation fines. Take immediate action to pay any outstanding fines or penalties to ensure safe driving.
